Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a group of inflammatory conditions along the gastrointestinal tract (GI tract), mostly seen in colon and small intestine. The principle types of IBD include Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC). Symptoms of IBD may vary from patients, with present of common symptoms such as: abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, rectal bleeding, severe internal cramps/muscle spasms in the region of the pelvis and weight loss.
